One thing that jumps out is those Dolphins are leading the AFC East when the Colts have sunk to third.

Yeah, that last game was huge for the Fins and the Colts...they didn't play smart (the Colts) and they couldn't get it done. The question is, the Fins, they always drop off, and you may say, "What does it matter they will go to the playoffs." Well think of it this way....they played against the Jags in the Playoffs last year, so the drop-off will happen and it will be bye-bye fins once again. Dave's teams (Bears) usually had started off great,...and then they dropped like flies! Remember the 95 race with the Packers? The Bears were number one until week 11 when they played the Pack in Lambeau. Brett Favre, with a broken foot, threw for 5 TDs, and the Packers won 35-28. That was the downfall of their season as they finished a dismal 4th in the division.

Well, the Dolphins haven't dropped off yet, and we'll see.

Correct, they have stayed at a great pace, and they keep moving, but do they have a good enough team for A SB? Right now I wouldn't say so. They have an amazing defense which is the only reason for their falling apart, in the past, and if it happens this year. Their offense has been able to put up just enough, not really truly crushing anyone. Their test will be against a team like the Ravens that is putting up 40 points a gamee, now, and holding the other team to under 10, because the Fins put up 20 a game, and usually only win by a TD or so.

Yeah... they were good last year... until they lost 63-7 in the playoffs.

BW,

I was refering to your statement "The question is, the Fins, they always drop off, and you may say, "What does it matter they will go to the playoffs." Well think of it this way....they played against the Jags in the Playoffs last year, so the drop-off will happen and it will be bye-bye fins once again. Dave's teams (Bears) usually had started off great"

You said nothing about the Super Bowl, but good job changing the subject lol :). I believe that the Dolphins can win this year's Super Bowl. We will need continued solid play from Lamar Smith and Jay Fielder and our defense will have to stifle people. Long Shot? Maybe. Impossible? No.

I figured the SB is the only reason you'd think about the playoffs. :D They could go to the SB, heck the Packers can still go to the SB this year. I don't think they can beat the Titans/Ravens/Raiders those three teams will be contending hard, and so will the Fins, but I think it's too early for Miami, but next year or a couple years from now, they should be champs...they need to grow a little more and then they are going to be the best once again, unless something terrible happens, a good future is inevitable.
