I'm going on vacation, if one can do that without actually having a job, on Tuesday, so I won't be around for awhile. Proably be back in early August, in time for college football season.

One week in D.C. to see all the historical stuff ( my part of the trip, being a history nerd), and another week in Niagra Falls ( my wife's part, little does she know there are many old time forts from the Revolutionary War up there that I will drag her too).

Someone post a stubborn, old fashion, anti-change, pro-tradition tirade once a day for me while I'm gone. Thanks...See ya guys in August.

:D

Yeah, it is going to be long Mike. I leave tommorrow morning. Since I don't start school til late August and my wife is being forced to use up her vacation or she'll lose it, we decided to go on long trips. Never been to Niagara Falls, so that will be fun. I have relatives in D.C., so we'll visit them.

Actually, it's not really our fave picks for vacation, but we really only want to go to one place...southern California. And if we go there, we'll have a hard time coming back. Since moving back to Ohio last October from PA, I've been edging my wife to move back to S. Cal and she's at 95% to move back. She's been in contact with her former employer there since we lived there back in 88-90 and there will be a position opening up in early 2006 that she's in line for. So most likely, I'll be back in S. Cal in early 06 !!! I'm pretty excited about it. We'll be moving to Huntington Beach if all goes according to plan, so I'll go back to my beach bum status...LOL.

Getting ahead of myself...oh well, see ya guys later.

Buckeye, you know I live like 10 miles from D.C.? My Dad works at the Securities and Exchange Commission and takes the Metro into D.C. every day. Enjoy D.C.!

I think I will enjoy the trip. I'm going to really enjoy all the historical stuff. I hear the Metro is an excellent means of transportation down there from my relatives. They live in Rockville, Maryland ( not sure how far from you or D.C. Marc ) and use it all the time to get into the city.

Buckeye, make sure to see the Spy Museum and National Air and Space Museum! Oh, and if you get too close to the White House, they'll shoot you. :D

I'd recommend the Holocaust Museum. Although it is a bit sobering.

Breed...

The Holocaust Museum SOLD me on the trip. I'm going to make sure I spend a WHOLE day just there.

T-Minus 8 hours til I hit the road, and I'm fighting with damn mapquest on driving directions !!!!! Yeah, this is going to be relaxing...LOL.

Hey, Buckeye....

I notice you're online. I thought you were going on vacation???

Or did you take one of those low cost "unemployed guy" vacations in your mind??? lol

No Tarkus...LOL...Like I just said, I'm fighting with mapquest...LOL. My wife is driving because we are taking HER car ( although I did buy it for her, so how that works out, I don't know) and I HAVE to sleep on longer road trips with her when she drives.

It's either that or keep pumping my imaginery break on the passengers side.

LMAO....

I know all about the imaginary brake. I'm married also....lol

Worst non sports injury I ever sustained......

p.s. I just noticed I posted 1 minute after the post about MapQuest . I see it now...lol

My parents love Washington D.C. Go see the house where Lincoln died. Bloody pillow still there.

Well no one seems to be filling the stubborn, old fashion, anti-change, pro-tradition tirade request.... so I recruited a picture as a stand-in for Buck while he's gone...
