My sister and I are buying football tickets for our dad (it's his bday) The game is in Oakland.

We were told conflicting views.

1) Seats should be at least 15 rows and higher

2) Seats 15 rows and lower are too close to the field

These are the choices. Please tell me what is the best option.
Dad has always wanted to be very close to the field. Thanks for your help.

a) 50 yd line, Field Level
Row 36 $250.00

b) 50 yd line, Field Level
Row 30 $310.00

c) 50 yd line, Field Level
Row 10 $270.00

-Why are the seats in Row 10 cheaper than the other ones, even though the others are higher?

-We were told to wait until early Sept to get tickets bc they will be cheaper and more options are available then.

Should we wait or will these good seats be long gone?

I would go with option B. I have been to a few NFL games and I can see the whole field better if I am a few rows back. I sat on row 31 around the 45 yard line at a Titans game I could see the whole field well. Before the game I walked down to the first row just to see what it looked like from there. It looked like you could see the field but not as well as I could from my seats. It also depends on the stadium to. All the seat you listed looked good. I would not wait to long, those seats will sell out faster than others.

Personally, I've always like the view from the cheaper seats best. It allows you to see all the players and the action on the whole field. I've been down on the 50, but the angle is not good for seeing the action. When I purchase tickets I try to get cheap seats.

Of course, that may be different at other fields. But it's been true of the fields I've been to - Veteran Stadium (Yes, I know it's been demolished), FedEx Field, Ericsson Stadium, and the Ravens Stadium (I forget what it's called now).

Id go w/row 36. imo, the higher you are in the lower deck, the better.

Of course, are you sure you wanna send your dad to a game in Oakland? Unless you are trying to collect on life insurance, that is probably the last place you would want to send someone. :D

If that's the route you're taking, I'd recommend covering him from head to toe in Chiefs' garb.

This is an extension of my previous post.

I'm buying tickets to a Raiders game. I was told games early in the season are better because the team plays well to make playoffs.

What's your opinion?

A) Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos
Oct. 17/04

B) Oakland Raiders vs. San Diego Chargers
Nov 21/04

It would be nice if the score isn't Raiders 7, visitors 28.
Keep in mind, Nov 21 is after the Bye Week, so Oakland might be well rested...hence a miracle might happen and they could win. lol

Thank you to all for your input. Please help.

Forgot to add,

the Broncos game is a lot more expensive. Is it worth it?

The Broncos game is a lot more expensive.

Is it worth is?

And, is it safe? I heard those fans are crazy.

The Bronoco's game is more expensive because no-one wants to see the Chargers. Thats the game I'd go to see. Just watch out for the "Raider Nation" ;)

Safe? Of course it is! Just be sure to take a shotgun. :D

Go w/the Charger tix. He'll be happy just to be at the game.
