Absolutely hilarious. Stewart is perfect for this show. One of the best lines ever: They show a clip of Hillary introducing Bill at the DNC. Hillary:"And now i would like to introduce the last great democratic president" The screen flashes to Stewart who yells out:" FDR is still alive! They found a cure for polio!"
Funny stuff.

I heard the Daily Show DNC coverage was great. I am sorry i missed it...damn work! :redhot:
They filmed it at my school, Boston University, so it was another incentive to watch it....maybe there will be reruns.
I saw the clips when they were interviewing delegates and politicians at DNC and they were interviewing a delegate who said he hated bush and then the interviewer says, "You know who else hated Bush? Osama Bin Laden." The delegate was speachless. It was great coverage...very funny!

John Stewart is great. He has a knack for political humor that is great. The Daily Show is one of the best shows on tv. The only pity is that I can't watch it that much due to the time it is on.

I think that the Daily Show is the best comedy program on TV. I like the way that they bash both sides. Stewart does a great job, as does his team along with Mo Rocca(sp) who writes for the show.

Gotta tell ya, speaking as a professional journalist, "The Daily Show" is usually the only television news I watch (although I made an exception during the convention). In my defense, I do read a lot of newspapers.
Since 1996, Comedy Central has done a better job covering the elections than any of the major broadcast networks. Remember in 1996, when Al Franken (then working for CC) said Pat Buchanan's speech, in which he railed against homer-sexuals and abortionists, would alienate mainstream America. He broke with most other pundits, who said the speech fired up the Republican activists. Franken, of course, turned out to be right.
But Stewart's best line might have come earlier this year, when discussing something that happened on a Thursday night, when one Congressman called another a "fruitcake" ("The Daily Show" airs new episodes only on Monday through Thursday, so there was a four-day lag in Stewart's reporting of the utterance)
Stewart said, "We need a 24-hour fake news channel. Fox News can't be the only one."
Two years ago, Stewart might have outdone himself when he interviewed Ann Coulter, the wing commander of the squadron of leggy blond Republicans. She probably thought she was going up against a lightweight.
She never realized as she hung herself with her own words -- "There are bad Republicans. There are no good Democrats." -- how stupid the comedian made her look.

They should make the show an hour long.
I am used to seeing a half hour monolog with a half hour with guests...
... Then I flip on the Daily Show and I only get 1/2 of what I am used to.
And shouldn't "The Daily Show" be the title to Carson Daily's show?
He should try something like... "The John Show"
