Mine is Tom Brokaw and Bob Schieffer. I really trust old Tom for some reason. Just has that believable face I guess. Who is your favorite. I like Peter Jennings too.

I liked Caray too.
Especially after he took over at 6:00 for Cronkite.
He rocked.

Have to say I go with the Canadian, Peter Jennings. Perhaps it's because it was his voice that cracked over my radio as Tower Two fell. Perhaps because it was he who was weeping openly during 9/11 coverage after learning that his son, who'd been in the WTC area that morning, was okay, after reporting on the carnage and destruction for the better part of fifteen hours before knowing his son's fate.
In general, I stopped paying attention to any of these guys when I left home in 1990 to go to college, because I was anywhere but in front of network news at 6.30p from college to the present day.
But, Jennings' 9/11 coverage stuck with me, so I'll go with him.

Don't watch American network news so for me it's between Kevin Newman (Global), Peter Mansbridge (CBC), and Lloyd Robertson (CTV). I never really watched news until this summer when I started watching consistently so after sampling all three, I've decided on Kevin Newman, he's the best in Canada IMO.

As I said on another thread, the only TV news I watch is "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," so I've got to go with him.
Seriously, Stewart has a sufficient grasp of comedy to be entertaining, and he knows enough about satire to deliver a message.
Stewart also is smart enough to hold his own with political heavyweights, possibly better than his fellows on the "serious" news shows.

Jon Stewart is cool and his crazy partners that interview people on the streets and stuff.

I like the old 35 pound anchor that keeps the boat from blowing away in the storm.........Oh wait, you meant a person? I guess I like the guys on Sportscenter.
Walter Cronkite was the last national anchor I trusted. The others are just a bit too concescending for me.
Ron Burgundy, of couse.

In the real world, Tom Brokaw. I will be sad when he steps down after the election and gives way to Brian Williams.

Hahhahahaha... Brian Williams... the Canadian version of Brian Williams is a joke. Look at him! :P http://www.cbc.ca/programguide/personality/index.jsp?personality=Williams%2C+Brian&program=CFL+on+CBC
But, I can't wait for the Olympics so I can watch him every night and make fun of him. He checks his watch and tells everyone what time it is every 3 minutes, and keeps flipping and folding papers over on his messy desk during the broadcast and talks to the producers constantly during the show. It's hilarious, I can't wait :)
I actually like the (American) Brian Williams who is taking over for Tom Brokaw this winter.
I saw him one night on Conan and the guy was cracking me up.
