Top Draft Pick Traded...

Earlier today San Diego traded their top pick to the Atlanta Falcons for the fifth pick, a third round pick, a second round pick for next years draft, and wide reciever Tim Dwight.

What a trade for the San Diego Chargers!!

They get two extra picks, plus WR/KR Tim Dwight...just for moving down four spots.

I still think that the Chargers will still be able to get Tomlinson.

Well, I'd say it benefits both partys.

I would have traded that much to take Vick if I was the Falcons, I feel he is worth it. If I were the Dolphins, I would have traded one of our QBs and most of our draft to get him.

I hate that man, if its the man I am thinking about. Ended Drew Bress' career with a lose in a game that should've been won by Purdue.

All the time I was in Pasadena for the game last year I kept hearing his damn name and now it won't leave me alone. I'm haunted :).

I think SD made out pretty good in the trade. They get Tomlinson, and Brees in the second round. They won't mortgage the future on Brees, and if he works out, they look like geniuses. Tomlinson will be an immedite upgrade at RB, and Dwight is an upgrade as a return man. Butler is off and running turning this team into a contender.

I thought the Chargers made out like bandits.

What a deal for them. LT will step right in and be an impact player. As for Brees, I really like the kid. He could be something special.

Really, the Chargers could have taken Vick and still got out with Jordan, another fine running back, but I guess it's just a matter of prefernce. Everyone knows Vick will be a bust, anyway! :p

At first, I was shocked and suprised by this move. But now I understand it completely. They got a decent WR in Dwight, a future RB in Tomlison, and a great QB in Brees.
