EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota's Randy Moss was fined $10,000 Thursday by the NFL for pretending to pull down his pants and moon the Green Bay crowd during Minnesota's playoff win this past weekend.

Should he have been fined? Was $10,000 fair? Was the fine not enough? Discuss.
I think $10,000 was right, "fake" Mooning the fans and doing it on television was not smart. I don't like to see a fine but the NFL needs to nip that childish behavior in the butt now. $10,000 is a slap on the hand, you can do celebrations but dont be a childish thug.
We already discussed this, and I would have suggested this go in the original thread on this topic, but it's closed. I think celebrations that are vulgar or offensive to fans merit fines, and it's clearly in the rules to fine someone for that type of act. What's next, the crotch chop? I wish this story would die.

$10,000 was too much.
I didn't get to post in the original thread, as it was closed before I got to it.
If Moss is fined $10,000 for not-mooning the fans, then the whole of Green Bay ought to be fined $40,000 each week for real-mooning opposing teams.

i think its stupid to fine Moss $10,000 for that celebration...and then only fining Eric Barton $7,500 for his blow to the head on Drew Brees. To me, Barton's actions could have been worse the Moss's but yet Moss gets the bigger fine?

This whole story makes me want to break out the Nirvana CD - you know, the one with Smells Like Teen Spirit on it, the song in which Kurt Cobain sang, "Oh well, whatever, never mind."

I have been talking with a member of SC and thought my comment I made to him would fit here, something I feel is very true right now.

I tell you what; Randy has taken the spot light. I have not heard the press ask anyone from Minn about how they plan to beat the Eagles or anything about the game and in fact until someone brought it up 20 mins ago I forgot the 2 teams were playing. I guess that is good, now they can just go play ball.
