With 75 players declaring for the NBA draft something needs to be done.
I found this today:

Overall, I think they should be able to do what they want. Its their life and a lot of them have been poor. This is a chance to support their family forever.
All an age limit would do is make college a one-year fly by for 19-year olds. It will never happen since the Players Union is not that stupid, as stupid as they are.

The age limit is not the answer IMO.
When a player accepts a scholarship to attend college he is making a legal obligation.
In return for his basketball skill he gets an education.
Players leaving early IMO are breaking a contract.
They should be held to that contract not rewarded.
They are teaching the players to break those contracts by enticing them with $$$$$'s.
They ease their minds by saying they will return and get their educations.BS in most cases.
This year their are 75 early entrants and at least two HS players that will be chosen in the Top Ten.
Does anyone remember the Child Labor Laws?Well it's getting that bad.
Something needs to be done. The scholarships need to be made a binding contract that can not be broken. And HS players can not be drafted into the NBA.That would give some of these players reason to go to school and get that education they will need sooner or later. If they don't attend college they should not be allowed to play in the NBA til their supposed college class graduates.
Harsh treatment but look at some of these kids that don't make it.
Without the degree what will they do?
I'll leave that to your imagination.
I am in favor of the age limit. The NBA is an organization that hires their employees (players) and if they think it is in the league's best interest to make restrictions in order to improve the quality of the league, they should have all the right to do so.
iFroggy, "it's their life, they should be able to do what they want" argument is older than my great grandmother. Are you going to say the same about the limitations put forth on legal drinking and driving ages? It's their life and if they are responsible, they should be able to do it, right? Right.
