View Full Version : Should Sampras call it quits?
From what I've been reading, he has been doing poorly consistently in recent tournaments and he really has nothing left to prove. He's only like 30 (what a great age to retire), but his game has obviously dropped off. What do you think?

Absolutely not. Just because he is in a slump doesn't mean he should call it quits.

I think he just needs to slow down a bit so he doesn't hurt himself more.

After winning Wimbledon last year, his game has ultimately declined overall. I wouldn't call it a slump. He is entering the twilight of his career, as far as a tennis player's career goes (30 is considered old).

All I can say is that I disagree.

He is getting old (for ATP tennis)...I think that he will continue to go downhill, I don't expect him to win many more tournaments if any.

Exactly. And after all his great accomplishments, he has nothing left to prove.

Yeah, he's had a great career and he should be proud, which he is.
