From ESPN.com

The Seahawks' insulation from the recent hex of Super Bowl runners-up has a crack. League MVP Shaun Alexander has a broken left foot and will be lost to the Seahawks for at least a couple of weeks.

Coach Mike Holmgren said Monday that a bone scan revealed Alexander sustained a "small crack" and "displaced fracture" on a non-weight-bearing bone in his foot sometime during the Seahawks' 42-30 win over the New York Giants on Sunday. Alexander ran for 47 yards on 20 carries while wearing new shoes and orthotic inserts before sitting out the fourth quarter, which began with Seattle leading 42-3.

And so many people downplay it like the curse is nothing. Since the Madden cover was unveiled I have told everyone that Alexander is going to get hurt and I have told everyone that Seahawks aren't going to make the playoffs. No one listens.

Although, Seahawks will make the playoffs if there defense keeps playing like it has so far.

Prior to this week, it was amazing how healthy people were. The high profile injuries were Steve Smith (which was temporary), TO (temporary) and Trent Green. No major RBs on the shelf since Portis came back.

Someone had to get hurt, and with two curses against him...

Didn't they used to put John Madden on the cover of the game years ago? Maybe they just need to go back to doing that to prevent any future curses to these superstar players!

Don't forget the Chunky Soup curse, it's just as bad. Chunky Soup has gone from putting individual players (i.e. Donovan McNabb) to entire teams...and who is the team in their most recent commercial? Pittsburgh!!

Yep, and I saw another recent Chunky Soup ad with Donovan & his mom - I guess money is more important than the curse!

Yes, they did for the first few years they made the game, but then I think they realized they could generate more buzz by putting a popular player on the cover.

Hey, don't forget the Madden TV ads as well. Daunte Culpepper is sucking it up on the field and the only highlight I can recall of Chad Johnson this season is him getting the hell knocked out of him against Cleveland last week.

Hands: Proform: Rollout on Madden 93 for Sega Genesis was a sure TD. You rolled out and hit your RB running up the sideline.

Just sayin...

1. I think you all know what I think about courses. but 2. if you must put a broadcaster on there and there is a curse.... Joe Buck should be on next years cover instead of Madden

I like him okay, but I don't like him when he is paired with McCarver.

Wasn't Daunte Culpepper in the Madden ads for 2006, as well? He's stinking it up, too. It may be true he is nothing special without Moss. Those two haven't been the same since their split.
