Worst logo?

What's the worst logo in all of sports?

I would say the NCAA logo is the WORST. Is there some signifigance to it?, or why is it so .... plain... and blue.... plain and blue?

...what about professional sports? Hmmmm.... can't think of any right now..... I'd say Coyotes is the worst in hockey...

other opinions?

....but how about the OLD Washington Capital logo (http://hockeydb.com/ihdb/logos/logos.cgi?logo_file=nhl/washington_capitals_1992.gif)?? That's gotta be one of the worst all-time hockey logos.

I agree with you on the Phillies... not really, though, on the Brewers... I more dislike the Expos' logo... well, maybe it's not their logo, so much as their jerseys that I don't like...

First of all, everybody continue to give as many bad logos as they can find, and then we can make it NCAA Tournament style. Sooner or later, we'll have our "Worst Ever Logo"!

I got one for basketball. Honostly, I've never really liked the Pacers logo. A big P with a basketball inside the loop...real creative...:rolleyes:...I don't know what they heck you could use, but something more creative, I'm sure.

What I think would be great is if we could see some old logos. Like the SuperSonic's, Rockets, Heat, etc. There were some really bad ones that would be fun to laugh at. :lol:

Make sure that you announce this "tournament" on the other boards, because I know that a LOT of people don't even know this board exists (including me until a couple days ago).

If you get a chance (and enough logos), try to expand the field to 32 or even 64. You could throw in a few bad good ones if you need to round out the field. This is fun!

also.. who was it that said, "since when does the initials of your city qualify for a logo?"... well... think about this... ALL of the teams below have some part of the first letter of their city or team nickname as a MAIN part of their logo:

Boston Bruins... New York Islanders... New Jersey Devils... Green Bay Packers... New York Yankees... New York Mets... Montreal Canadiens... Calgary Flames... Detroit Tigers... Kansas City Royals... New York Giants.... Kansas City Cheifs... PLUS, I can't find a page with all the NBA logos on it, so add all those in there, too....

...the answer to the question, "since when does the initials of your city qualify for a logo?" is "QUITE A LONG TIME!"

Round Two of five is complete, and we're now down to the worst eight logos in all of professional sport.

There was an interesting situation happening in the Baseball Division, Semi-Final #2. The California Angels and Montreal Expos each received six votes. I was thinking mid-way through the second round that this might be a possibility (a tie), so I decided that to see which team moves onward, you take the total percentage of all previous rounds, combined. In Round One, California received 92.3% of the votes in their match-up, and Montreal received just 76.9%. Therefore, the Angels move on to the Baseball Division Finals.

Below are the updated tournament brackets. Be sure to check back on this board to vote for the Final Four match-ups!
