Here is something for us baseball fans to think about after the World Series is over. Each person selects a franchise and picks the best all-time team from that franchise. First come, first served, OK?
I'll take the Twins, but if someone else wants to take them, I'll step aside and select another franchise.

Just a reminder to those who have not chosen a team, there are plenty left for you. I do not want this to be a difficult assignment. I want to have some fun with it, OK?

I'm a little confused on what exactly we are doing? But I'd like the BoSox :D

You've got 'em. All I'm asking is for people to select the best position players from the history of their team, including a lefty and righty pitcher, set-up reliever, closer, 1 utility player and the usual positions (including DH). Should be fun looking through the Red Sox History, remembering that Babe Ruth was nce their best lefty.

Ill take the Astros....But are there any restrictions as to who we can pick? Like did they have to play there for a certain amount of years? Cuz Randy Johnson played with Houston for some time and Clemens was there for 3 years....Just curious :P

Anytime, either in this thread or create one for your team to allow discussion of the players you have selected.
George Brett can only be listed at 1 position, however.

Hopefully I did it right.
I posted it as it's own thread.
So, discuss...

No sweat, coach. You've got plenty of time.
A thought occured to me while discussing the Royals team Toby put together. I'd like to have everyone name the franchise's best all time player also. This player can be either a pitcher or a position player, and add your reasons for his selection.
Thanks to everyone who is contributing.

I'm a Tigers fan too, but I'm not getting in the way of the DETMURDS train! I look forward to this one...
If Chiefsfan will give up the Cardinals I would be more than happy to give it a shot.... I just don't really care about any other teams. Been a Birds fan since I was 4 years old.

I just think it makes for some great discussions in the forum during the offseason.
Thanks for the idea, catman!

No sweat. The Bears need all the fan support they can get, especially in the playoffs.
I'll have the Angels ready to go in a couple of days.
