I am genuinely saddened by this news. As one who actually met Buck and spoke to him on several occasions, I will say that humanity (not just baseball) lost a real hero. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
Now, he is reunited with his beloved wife of 51 years, Ora.
May you rest in peace, Buck.

Like Catman said, a great man not just a great baseball man. I heard a guy on sports radio yesterday hit the nail on the head, now that Buck has passed away they will put him in the HoF. Why can't they do this while he was still with us so him and his family as well as the world of baseball could celebrate with him? RIP Buck, you will be missed.
