Most of the dudes playing for the Yankees are not in the clutch Yogi Berra type hitters
The Yanks won all those tittles becuase they had the Jacksons Munsons and Berras to come up with those key winning hits
Jeter is one also
What could Jeter do if he's constantly stranded on base in a game that rellay counts (Tigers)
If he had an ONeill or Brosicious he would be waltzing home instead of looking for his glove
These guys come from 4th and 3rd place teams and don't have a clue what it's like to win it all
They are great June and July players but fold when it really counts
The same with pitching
When Clemens and Pettite said good bye so did the World Series
Mr Johnson is an old man ready to relax in his Den and watch some baseball and Mussina is a pitcher that knows only how to pitch in June and July and maybe September also
Lets face it the Yankees of old are gone and will take a while to find those winning guys that know how to get that October hit
Each one of the Yankee pitchers is known to give up that big inning when it counts the most (except Wong and Rivera)
