The problem is this....while most of us believe that Bonds was using we have no PROOF. Just like with Mcgwire and or Clemens etc. If it is an asterisk for one player it should be for all. I believe Roger juiced as much as Bonds did. Look at how he has grown and gotten better past the age of 35. Why is it any different for him? This whole thing just seems like a witch hunt to bring down 1 player and that to me is just BS
No proof. You are correct there. He was not caught with a smoking gun in his hand, or bloody syringe; but I've said this before: "If you think Bonds did not do steriods then you are uneducated about steriods" The size of muscle put on in that amount of time cannot be acheived with out performance enhansing drugs. Roger's body type would not lead me to believe he juiced. Yeah, maybe the fact that he is in his 40's and still pitching great would - but I look at Nolen Ryan, he did it? Also, (just my opinion) I believe Canseco in his book - I mean, the guy trashed everyone, he didn't care. But he praised Clemens for his hard work and said he's never seen anyone work like that, etc. IMO, if you're gonna make up names - why would he dime out Brett Boone (who sucks) and not Clemens cause you know that would be HUGE news.
