It looks as though Florida will win out in the East so who is gonna take the west? Ark seems to be on top right now, but there are big games left to be played. Tenn, South Carolina, and LSU. Can Ark win those big games? The only teams in the West who are out of the picture for sure are Ole Miss, Miss State, and Alabama.

It's going to be tough for LSU. They need to beat Arkansas and hope Auburn drops two more games. That seems highly unlikely. I think we can pretty much take LSU out of the race.

Arkansas:
at South Carolina
Tennessee
at Mississippi State
LSU

Auburn:
Arkansas State
Georgia
at Alabama

Auburn should win out. Georgia and Alabama will probably be tough games but they should win both. That leaves them at 11-1 (7-1).

Arkansas is a little more complicated. Both of their road games should be wins but I could see South Carolina giving them some trouble. But if the Hawgs are for real, as I suspect they are, they should win it. Tennessee and LSU will be tough but I think Arkansas splits. They have won 3 of the last 4 against LSU that have been played in Little Rock. That would leave them at 10-2 (7-1) and give them the SEC West.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if Arkansas runs the table. I really like this team and think they're going to be pretty damn good over the next couple of years with Mustain, McFadden and Jones. They might be this year's West Virginia. And if they run the table, win the SEC, and finish 12-1, I think they deserve to play for the MNC if West Virginia and Louisville are both one-loss and the loser of the Ohio State-Michigan game gets blown out. This Arkansas team has come a long way since USC hammered them.

Arkansas definitely has the tougher remaining schedule of the two - they have a great chance of beating UT and LSU at home. But personally, I want Auburn to win the west and meet up w/UF for the SEC Championship, with the Gators hopefully exacting some revenge!:D

The campus police for the University Of Alabama reported the theft of the final remaining Tide spirit stick today.
It seems a group of men led by a large unidentified black male took the stick and broke it. Thus leaving Bama 6-4 and devoid of any spirit.
The group then fled by bus by posing as Sylvester Crooms and the Miss State football team avoiding capture.
Coach Mike Shula was unavailable for comment, as he had left for Wal-Mart to purchase crayons, band-aides, and ice cream.
