I've often wondered what happened to some of the posters that used to be active here. #47, I Own This, IFroggy. Has anyone heard anything from these guys recently?

Rumor has it that #47 turned #48 & couldn't figure out how to log in & ultimately gave up....
I Own This ran into some financial difficulty & is still around known as I Rent This...
& iFroggy took a vacation to France & ran afoul of some chef at a local restaurant & can be found on the menu under frog legs....:D
Seriously I haven't a clue...as usual...

Franky is another one. He just kind of faded away. Boston sportsfan is another one.
There were a few other ones I was thinking of a while ago, but I forget who they were.

Tragic accident in a candy store. He went into the cooler to get his favorite ice cream bar, when a box of drumsticks fell on him and seriously injured him. He is in rehab though and hopes to move forward with his life.

Why would there be ice cream in a candy store?

Why would there be ice cream in a candy store? There is ice cream at most candy stores... I think.
Why is there ice cream at a candy store? Because people like ice cream in the summer. Jay wanted to refresh himself with an ice cream bar, when the box of drumsticks fell on him.
Don't feel bad for him though. He is suing the candy store for not properly storing the boxes. If he wins the case he could win a half of a million dollars plus payment for his medical fees.
How about tigereyes? I know we all miss him.

I hope jay wasn't hit with the spikey ends. That would be like getting stabbed by delicious stalactites.

I guess families don't matter in 2006.

Maybe there is a secret portal that leads you to an "alternate" SCMB and that is where those regular posters have gone.
Posters come and leave in all communities. Sure, some stick around and that's great, but you have to be realistic and not expect every single member to have perfect attendance (so to speak) and post flawless, thought-provoking things. I find myself constantly explaining these things to people who wonder why only a small portion of the registered members post (totally normal), why things seem slow at times (it happens), and why so and so disappointed (it happens). Basically, don't worry. Things will still be here tomorrow and fluctuations are normal.
For example, I was a lead moderator on a site called SitePointForums.com back in the early '00s. Years later before I stopped frequenting it, almost none of the old group remained — I obviously missed the "good old days" and those people, but it's the way these things work. That site has grown leaps and bounds and is better than ever thanks to new posters. Forums go in cycles and you can't overreact or jump to conclusions. Whenever people bring up the disappearance of posters or complain about it being slow, you have to keep the big picture in mind.
I OWN THIS just disappeared, he was a good poster and moderator, so that's a mystery. iFroggy had a falling out with this site and still runs some other sites, but we have no contact. #47, no idea, but he was a good college football poster. tigereyes was banned and is currently trapped in a deep, dark hole with Travis13, poptart, and countless other miscreants.

What ever happened to Jimmy Hoffa?
I used to have a teacher who's father was one of Jimmy Hoffa's drivers. I asked him that one time and he said that he heard that Hoffa is mixed in the cement of Giants Stadium.
Hoffa is in a mine shaft in Pittston, PA.

I saw him posting on the ESPN board, so he must still be alive.

Wow. I didn't know tigereyes got banned.
As far as the other posters, while Marc provided some general answers, I have the specific ones.
Dead. They're all dead.

I'm back!
...and no longer a fan of candy stores. :)
(But in all seriousness, I was just very busy with the end of summer and going to school.)
