How was the trip to Ames this weekend? Your team showed the 'Clones who was boss, so that part should have been OK.

The trip was great, although a tad bit long (we left at 5:30 in the morning and didn't arrive back home until 12:30). It was hard to tell if Kansas was that good, or if Iowa State was just that bad.

It seemed to me like the Cyclones were just packing it in, and most of the ISU fans did the same at halftime. We literally had an entire section to ourselves by the start of the fourth quarter (and we were seated amongst Iowa State season-ticket holders in the 17th row and right on the 30-yard line).

But, Jack Trice Stadium is absolutely amazing in person and the people of Iowa were very gracious throughout our entire stay (although they were curious why my brother and one of his co-workers were decked out in Kansas State gear).

Also, I think my friend Herman discovered that he was the only black person not in uniform in Ames that weekend.

No real surprise to me about the game. It appears that the team has decided to wait until next year, after all, the QB is a Jr. I hope no one gets hurt and that Dan McCarney can keep his job.
I have never seen a game at Jack Trice stadium, but I've seen it from the field. It looks like a great place to watch a game. I'll have to try to catch a game there sometime.

I like Meyer as Iowa State's quarterback, and look forward to what he can do next year.

But, he needs an offensive line that isn't going to allow him to get sacked five times, and guys who can handle the ball and won't fumble it five times either.
