What do you guys think? Bad taste? Rules are rules and he didn't break 'em?

Alvarez loved it...

Personally, I think it is lame when coaches pull crap like this. Just play the game and quit jacking around. The thing of it is that the refs could have put a stop to it by flagging Wisconsin for unsportsmanlike conduct and chose not to.

Unsportsmanlike conduct? Wow...that's a bold statement. How do you figure? It was pretty hard to determine if it was intentional from the footage I saw...meaning nothing blatant.

It's probably good that the competition committee saw this dumb rule exploited. Maybe it'll get them to nix it.

I'm going to take buckeye's comment about not seeing anything blatant as sarcasm and not bite. I mean, when he kicked the ball, they were all offside by four yards.

As for the actual strategy behind it, good job by Wisconsin in coming up with that. I'm not exactly sure why they brought it out in this game, just keep it in the back pocket for later on down the line when it might make a difference in the game. That's really damn smart though. The only downside that I see is that you're giving the kick coverage team a 5 yard head start down the field and uh, they're going to JACK someone up and with that, there's always the potential for injury.

Thankfully, them SEC boys aren't smart enough to think this one up, because they hit for real down there.

Smart strategy but after three times the refs should've flagged them for unsportsmanlike conduct. It's a sin against football.
