Good article here.

If I'm readin' him correctly, Stoops doesn't like the idea that teams are scheduling weaker non-conf games and just relying on the reputation of their conference (cough...SEC) to call for a title shot. Of course he's pretty ticked that he got jobbed at Oregon...which is probably why he is throwing this out there right now. The article does state Oklahoma benefited over Auburn due to a stronger SOS in 2004...something I love to see in print.

I agree with Stoops on most of this. I don't think a playoff is the solution (which he doesn't say but is just floating the idea). The solution IMO is tougher non-conf scheduling...as I've stated from day one. I think Bob really believes that too. It helped him in previous years cuz Oklahoma did as they did this year...scheduled tough out of conference. He just lost this year...that's the only difference. Again, getting jobbed in Oregon really has soured him right now so I don't mind this minor blip. I wouldn't say he is warming up to a playoff as the article boasts in the title. That to me is typical ESPN brainwashing.
