I did some quick, sloppy research and couldn't find what "stacking" means?
Anyone that feels like letting me know, go ahead and...
...I guess, let me know!
Thanks.

5. Have you, personally, been discriminated against while involved in sports? Yes but not racially

7. Do you believe there to be a reason why African Americans seem to dominate the sports of basketball and football? If so, why? That's just how it is. And they don't dominate football like they do basketball. Basketball is a primarily city game and because there are so many black people live in urban environments, they're going to play it more than whites in suburbia.
8. List as many racial stereotypes in sports that you can think of? Black people are faster and can jump higher.
9. Have you heard of the term “stacking”? No
10. To what extent do you agree with the statement that many division 1 colleges are abusing promising, young athletes as a means of generating revenue and disregarding their academic obligations?(10 being A lot, 1 being not at all): 2

1. Gender: Male
2. Ethnicity: Caucasian
3. Age: 20-30
4. How big of a sports fan would you rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being high) 8
5. Have you, personally, been discriminated against while involved in sports? No-- I assume you mean racial discrimination. I've been discriminated against for my lack of talent only
6. Where is discrimination on the basis of race seen in sports?(check all that apply) X Front Office Opportunities X Other-- Fan adoration, noting that Steve Nash and Brian Urlacher are a bit more popular than they would be if Black
7. Do you believe there to be a reason why African Americans seem to dominate the sports of basketball and football? If so, why? Genetics in both cases, culture/background for basketball. Nothing to be ashamed of/proud of/angry about
8. List as many racial stereotypes in sports that you can think of? The big one is White guys are "gritty" and Black guys make "athletic plays". This always gets my attention on hustle plays and the commentators' reactions to them. For instance, when Eckstein/Renteria make diving plays at SS or beat out grounders. Or when Garrard/Carr scramble for first downs. There's often no difference in the play-- not always, but often-- and the White guy is called "gritty" while the Black guy is just using that "athleticism" again. Others: Whiteys can't jump, Black players aren't smart, Blacks can't be effective QBs (hopefully a dead idea now), Blacks in coaching/front office positions are there due solely to affirmative action, White guys are on the ends of NBA benches to appeal to White audiences (I believe this after watching the reaction to Pat Burke vs. Marcus Banks at the last Suns game... both scrubs, but only one gets the crowd reaction), Latin Americans are quick, Blacks can't play hockey or race cars unless they're sellouts, Black athletes are universally "playas" with the ladies while White athletes have only a few bad apples in this area, Black QBs are "athletic" "running QBs" even if their name is Daunte or Byron (who are about as athletic as Drew at this point), and Black college coaches are only hired to exploit their race for recruiting purposes but not because they are great coaches.
9. Have you heard of the term “stacking”? No, unless it has to do with pancakes or checkers
10. To what extent do you agree with the statement that many division 1 colleges are abusing promising, young athletes as a means of generating revenue and disregarding their academic obligations?(10 being A lot, 1 being not at all) 2-- I wouldn't call it "abuse" since most everyone seems to know the game... but it is definitely "using the system"
11. Is it harder for a minority coach to get a job than it is for a white head coach? Yes. In some cases it's probably racism-- owners and GMs hire who they're comfy with, possibly meaning same culture (and in turn, race). In many cases it's a desire for experienced coaches-- an ongoing circle.
12. Do you believe the “Rooney Rule”, that requires teams in the NFL to interview a minority head coaching candidate when it searches for a new head coach, accomplishes its purpose of increasing diversity in head coaching? Yes. Maybe not creating "equality" but definitely "increasing diversity". It's an appropriate way to do so-- it doesn't force anyone to hire anybody
13. Do you have any comments regarding racism and sports? It's not often an honest discussion. That's sort of okay because it's a sensitive subject in today's age.

stacking is the process of placing minority players in positions on the field so that they have a minimal effect on the outcome of the game. It used to be very common, but is not so much any more. Now it is less subtle. For example, quarterbacks used to be primarily white until randall cunningham, warren moon, and rodny peete. Pitchers are mostly white and outfielders are mostly black. Pitching and quarterback are the most important positions on the field at any time because they touch the ball every time, so by keeping minorities out of these positions they have a minimal effect on the game.
