From what I've heard, Penn State fans have already bought up most of the currently available Outback Bowl tickets. With the SEC bowl picture still very cloudy, I doubt whatever team they send will have the same presence as PSU. Chances are we'll probably see a very similiar-sized crowd from PSU as the one that showed up at the Orange Bowl last year.

I guess it doesn't hurt having what will amount to about a month's head start on the SEC teams in terms of buying tickets. PSU pretty much locked up the Outback bid when Donnie Johnson dropped a sure pick-six against Wisconsin.

I had higher hopes than the Outback Bowl going into the season but it certainly could've been worse. I'm looking forward to ringing in the New Year, catching a few hours of sleep and then watching PSU play exactly on New Year's Day for the first time in four years.

PSU is undefeated in the Outback Bowl with a 2-0 record. They beat Auburn 43-14 in '95 and Kentucky 26-14 in '98.

Ugh, I went to the Outback Bowl this past January. The Iowa fans were HORRIBLE... nasty, trash-talking before the game, but they shut up pretty quick after the Gators smacked 'em around!:D
