Wisconsin accepts Capital One Bowl bid...

Don't wanna keep makin' threads for each bowl bid but since my Badgers have faced a ton of scrutiny in here I'll put this one up.

ESPN's two analysts project it to be Wisconsin vs. Florida. CNNSI has it Wisconsin and Florida as well. Fox Sports has it Wisconsin vs. LSU.

We'll take 'em...I don't care which team they put up. :thumbup:

Purdue accepts bid to Champs Sports Bowl as well.

I hate that they call it the Capital One Bowl now. Same with the Chick-fil-A Bowl. I don't have a problem with the corporate sponsor in the name but it seems silly when it takes over as the name of the bowl. I miss the Citrus Bowl, Peach Bowl, hell even the Humanitarian Bowl.

It's weird that UW accepted a bowl bid. They could end up ranked as high as #8... I guess it matters more that they're locked in as "#3 in the Big Ten"

Well...they can't go to any other bowl that has that much prestige and $ at this point. Only 2 schools from each BCS conference can go to a BCS bowl.

I expect Wisconsin to finish the regular season ranked no lower than #6 in the BCS. Hopefully we push up to #5 or #4.

It's bowl season in Big Ten country Marc. We finish our season early. I've got my Purdue, Penn State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio State, and yes...even Michigan...hats on.

Forget the blasting all those teams took from me during the course of the year. WE have to beat the outsiders in our bowls now. That's the fun and traditon of the bowls: to compete outside your region in a game that was once extremely regionalized (as it should be).

USC...just have respect for a program that stands on their porch and yells to the outside world "who wants a piece of me!"

Given this, why do you always blast the SEC for sticking to this moreso than the other conferences?
