Not that anyone else cares, but: WOO HOO! If Staff hadn't convinced Bulldog Nation last week that he should be the QB of the future, then his performance in the 4th quarter tonigh should have. He is really showing why he is the future of the program.

Defense played outstanding. Paul Oliver somehow shut down Calvin Johnson. And the fumble recovery by Tony Taylor is one of the craziest plays I have ever seen. 2 more srconds and that play is blown dead.

Never thought I would be excited about the Peach Bowl, but after feeling like UGA wouldn't even be making a Bowl 3 weeks ago, that looks pretty good. (and it isn't as bad a drive as Memphis. :D )

U-G-A! U-G-A! U-G-A!

Congrats Mike. As much as it pains me to admit it I was pulling for the Dawgs this afternoon.

Nice win, Mike. Now, about those losses to Vandy and UK... :P

My Cats SHOULD have beaten Tennessee in Knoxville yesterday, but lost 17-12 I believe. We had the ball on the 3-yard line with 4 minutes to go, but had a delay of game penalty (DOH!), and we got ZERO points. Kicking problems are killing us as we missed an extra point and field goal. Oh well, 7-5 is good for us, but 8 wins would have been oh-so-sweet.

Reggie Ball has to be the worst 4-year starter at QB in college history. His completion % has actually gotten worse over his 4 years despite the fact that he has had arguably the best reciever in the nation to throw to the past three seasons. It sort of begs the question as to how bad the backups are. I honestly don't understand why Gailey has stuck with him so long given that he has shown no improvement in his four years.

Yeah Marc, at the beginning of the season, if you woulda told me UGA was gonna have 4 losses I probably would have agreed with you. If you would have told me 2 of the losses would be to UK and Vandy, I would have told you you had lost your mind.

Bad day yesterday. The SEC went 3-0 vs. the ACC.

UGA over Tech
South Carolina over Clemson
Florida over FSU

Arkansas lost though. I'll take it.

Well UF over FSU was expected and since Clemson was 8-3 they needed that loss to get to 8-4 as it is almost becoming a written law that Tommy Bowden will never finish the regular season better than 8-4.

I think Georgia Tech losing really makes the ACC look even worse now. The ACC Champ will either be Wake (who didn't play a soul out of conference and has no name recognition) or Tech (who lost their 2 big non-conf games this year).

Come on 78, was it really a surprise? The ACC sucks. :D

Probably so. I've said all along this seems to be a down year for the conference (SEC). I've been wrong before, though. ;)
