Wow, what a game. An incredibly high level of talent, execution and excitement. A classic overtime thriller in Las Vegas. Florida has got great players all over the floor. Joakim Noah will get kicked out of the NBA in two weeks if he doesn't tone down his enthusiasm/complaining. Darrell Arthur might be the best freshman in college ball this year.

I thought Noah was still playing a Florida?:P

LOL, crazy things happen when you post at 4 AM. :)

I'm not all that surprised. A lot of teams are losing early on and there is a lot of talent and depth this year. I wonder if Florida will have a similar problem as the Steelers ... are they still hungry enough? Regardless, the SEC is the top conference in hoops!

I have no worries about the Gators this year. Everything I've read and seen so far this year points to a very dedicated team. Kansas was hot lastnight, unfortuately someone had to lose that game. It was a great game possibly the game of the year.

I was assuming Noah is leaving after this season. If his attitude on the court stays the same a year from now, people will be saying "Rasheed who?"

Let's ask the Wichita State Shockers about that.

Let's see:

Georgia loses at home to Western Kentucky. LSU loses at home to Wichita State. Mississippi State loses at home to Winthrop. South Carolina loses at UC-Irvine. Tennessee loses to Butler.

Only two teams remain unbeaten. Five teams already have two loses. And this is the best conference in college basketball?

While the Big XII might not be the best, Iowa State has a win at Minnesota, Kansas has a win over Florida, Nebraska won at home against Creighton, Oklahoma State has a win on the road over Auburn, Texas won at St. John's, five teams remain unbeaten and only three teams have two or more losses.

I will take Kansas, Texas and Texas A&M over any three teams in any other conference.

While it is way too early to say what the game of the year will be, right now that honor should go to Wichita State pulling off an incredible upset over No. 6 LSU on the road 57-53.

Yeah, don't get too excited - Wisconsin was SUPPOSED to beat Auburn in basketball - they are ranked after all........:D

Regarding the KU/UF game: not too worried about the Gators. It's early, KU is good, although they lost to unranked Oral Roberts......

Toby, you mean the same Kansas squad that lost at home to Oral Roberts?

Losing to Wichita State is not a horrible loss as they are usually right there in the mix come March.

There is absolutely no shame in losing to Butler. So far Butler has beaten Indiana, Notre Dame, Tennesse, and Gonzaga who knocked of UNC.

Fine, right now, maybe not, but I don't see how you can bet against two Final Four teams returning most of their talent. What I meant is the SEC will prove to be the best once the year plays out. Circumstances in November mean nothing. This is basketball, not football, and a few early losses don't mean much.
