Nebraska coach Bill Callahan said he blew it against the Sooners in the Big Twelve Championship Game...

Good to hear. Always glad to see someone take personal responsibility.
Nebraska is really a year away from being back in the national picture anyway. I don't think anyone was really expecting the Huskers to win no matter who they played this year.
Anyway, it is nice to hear him take some accountability here. Lack of accountability seems to permeate a lot of coaching staffs these days.

Well, the accountability is nice, but I hate to remind Husker fans what happened the last time Callahan suffered a loss like Saturday's... the Raiders went on to become "the stupidest team" in the NFL.
Watch out, Lincoln. Here comes the meltdown. By the end of next season, perhaps Frank Solich will have forgiven you enough to accept your check to bring him back, if he hasn't gone from Ohio to somewhere a little more glamorous.
(A quick postscript: I think a hundred years ago, I was in favor of NU's firing of Solich. The beef I had with NU after that wasn't the firing of Solich, but the hiring of a complete wackjob.)

It was the lack of effort on Nebraska's part to keep Bo Pellini, who should have been named head coach after Frank Solich's firing.
