I definitely want to go to Alaska.

When I was in the Air Force I had orders to go to Elmendorf, but they were later changed to Spain.

I hope to go in the next five years.

I have bad memories from The Alamo....We went there in junior high, and 3 idiots from my class stole some stuff from the gift shop, the biggest idiot had like $60 worth of stuff....Anyways, they had a bunch of us lined up out front of the gift shop and made us empty our pockets and stuff, it was so embarrassing.

We are going on a cruise to Alaska next July, so I can cross that one off my list. I will go to Nashville someday, and will go to Cooperstown New York sometime in the next couple of years as well. I can't believe I haven't been there yet.
For those that want something centrally located in the US, go to the Negro League Museum/Jazz Museum in Kansas City. One day will allow you to see both if you wish, but don't hurry. Unfortunately, Buck O'Neil won't be there to greet you with his huge laugh and a smile that lit up a room.
I'd like to visit some of the Civil War battlefields in the South. I'd also like to see Drum Island someday.

The embarrassing part was when coachJ had to pull out the hand gun and box of condoms that were in his pocket :D

You actually survived swimming in Lake Erie? You must be really tough.

Here is my top 5 that I have not been to in no partciular order

1. Grand Canyon
2. Pearl Harbor
3. Mt. Rushmore
4. Soldier Field
5. Yellowstone

By the way I live about 30 minutes from Cooperstown and I go to the hall at least once a year and the town itself about 10 times a year and it is just great. It is something all baseball fans should do. I'm a bigger NFL fan than MLB but when I went to Canton, OH it just did not compare with Cooperstown.

Yes Pearl Harbor. I would go there just to show respect, especially for those lost in the "Arizona".

Biltmore Estate in Asheville... I've been by it, but never inside or in front of it. Talk about grand and ostentatious!

I want to see Seattle because I think it would appeal to me a lot.

Grand Canyon, you have to see that once.

Vegas!

South Beach/Miami

Unfortunately, I haven't been to most of this nation's "tourist attractions." Three I have been to, and would strongly recommend, are:

1. Niagra Falls... but not from the U.S. side. If you don't cross over into Canada, it's not worth making the trip.
2. Gettysburg: The battle was fought over a very large area, and much of that area has been preserved; a must for any military historian.
3. Serpent Mound: I'd call this a "must" for everybody. Down side: it's the only thing to see for miles in any direction. On the other hand, it's an easy drive (c. 1.5 hours) from Columbus or Cincinnati, so it's not hard to fit it in with something else. Up side: it is a singularly unusual monument erected by the original inhabitants of this land. The place is usually quiet, and has a wonderful "feel" to it.

Places I want to go, in no particular order:
Grand Canyon
Yellowstone
Sequoia
Mesa Verde
Dinosaur National Monument

I've visited most of the places you mentioned and would agree that they are "must-sees". I liked Gettysburg a lot. There were still cannonballs in walls in the town. We stayed at this Inn -- which is likely a bed & breakfast now -- that was reported to be haunted. No spectres showed up when we were there. The battlefield was amazing. It was sort of a bowl with ridges on all sides. I can understand how all the people died there.
Yellowstone was nice -- I actually petted a bear there, much to the horror of my parents.
I might add Dinosaur Valley to the list. It is about an hour or so South of Dallas, and is well worth the trip.

The Vegas Strip isn't nothing to brag about... Lots of illegals standing infront of just about every casino handing out nudy cards for I'm guessing escort services, then you have Christians unlike me telling you that you're a sinner (I found it quite funny seeing them begging and pleading)... Sorry but I don't think God is going to judge me for spending some of my hard earned money on gambling, booze, and strippers (free will right?)! Well maybe for the strippers LOL !!! The dry heat sucks, but if you find the machines next to the bar you're in for a cheap buzz!
