After reading about Louisville's pathetic showing against UMASS last night, I am pretty sure Kentucky will win Saturday's game by a good 20 points. The Cardinals can't contain anyone inside and Randolph Morris will have a field day. Then, after that Kentucky will square off against the same UMASS club and prove that is clearly the best team in the state of Kentucky.

Are you a Kentucky fan? I am as big a fan as they come ... born in Lexington, attended UK, you name it. We are having a big get-together for the game.

HOWEVER, I am not so confident. That loss will have Pitino motivating his team and they will be angry and focused. It's a trap. But go Cats!

Huge Kentucky fan. I was born in Louisville. Half my family are Cards fans and the other half is Cats fans. I crossed into the blue at the ripe age of 5 or so. Brainwashed by my older cousin, that the only thing that matters in UK basketball. Then I moved to Burgh and became a huge Steelers fan. UK sports and Steelers football are my heart and soul man. I am living in Maryland now. But back home we used to have get togethers everytime UL and UK squared off. It's on CBS so I will definitly be watching though.

About Pitino getting them fired up..........I think it will be a tough game, but Louisville hasn't been able to contain anybody in the low-post this year. That combined with the level that Randolph Morris is playing at this year, might be too much for the Cards. Still, I think it will be a matter of UK knocking down their perimeter shots. If they can just hit like 40 percent of their threes, they could beat anybody. I long for the day that the Cats get another sharpshooter from behind the arc. They just haven't had that recently. Guys like Joe Crawford, Patrick Sparks and Gerald Fitch are solid players, but they were all too inconsistent from three. I could go for some Scott Padgett these days.

So the win was unimpressive, but a win nonetheless. It was a very sloppy game played by what seemed to me as two struggling teams. It was nice to see Jodie Meeks perform well. We need another scoring threat on offense and hopefully this will be a sign of things to come. I think if Joe Crawford could learn the art if passing, UK could be an elite team. I counted at least 5 or 6 times when he had the ball and didn't pass it to an open man cutting to the basket. Maybe when he finally realizes he isn't as good as he thinks he is, this team will play some better ball.

**** One more note ****
Those fouls on Randolph Morris were garbage. I was embarrassed for the refs on those pathetic calls. They really handicapped our ability to score inside, by keeping Morris out of the game. :wtf: :finger:

I agree, there is a fine line between being aggressive and hogging the ball, and Joe rarely has good results when he tries to create on his own. I was also disappointed to see Morris revert to his old foul-prone ways. And LOL at Packer saying Woo played like an all-star ... he had 6 points at the time. All in all, ugly and boring game, but a win is a win.
