Don't quote me on this, but I think the base price of that Camaro is supposed to be somewhere between $20,000 and $25,000. Altough the one pictured is undoubtedly one with all the options.

The cars look very similar to me, at least on the surface. Nice looking rides.

Here's the link to a site about the car. It has been updated since the New Year, and has the base price as $20,000:

My first car out of college is going to be one of these. And since I'll be a poor ex-college student, I'll probably have to buy a used '09 one come summer 2012.

Good luck fining a 3 year old Camaro in good shape on the used car lot.

...a beat-up 1988 Dodge Mini-Van that you were forced into buying so you could haul your triplet daughters back-and-forth to daycare with?

And, while Marc still posts pictures of his latest "tricked-out" ride, you get a thrill out of boasting about the new rear window wiper you put on all by yourself over the weekend.

**shudders**

Maybe I am seeing visions of my future.

I'm still a huge fan of the Mustang! If only I knew where I could get someone to give me $60k to blow on the new GT500!!!

I still can't believe people would blow $60K on a FORD.

The Camaro looks better than the current Mustang, that's for sure. It's pretty nice, but how does it handle?

The unfortunate thing about the Carmaro, or even more so the Z06 (which I will admit is awesome), is at the end of the day, you still own a Chevy and have to go to those god-awful Chevy dealerships. You know, the places with obnoxious, tacky neon-colored painted numbers on the windows ... why can't they just be classy and subtle? I guess like CarMax is some ways.

I never understood why the economy makes have to be so obnoxious and and in your face ... like these horrific Kia and Suzuki ads on TV where the guy is screaming at you and touting some big discount. It's just disrespecting your customers. Look, I don't give a f**k what discount you have or the warranty if your product is a piece of crap. And if you are having such trouble moving inventory, it might be a hint about your product. I'd rather ride a bike or buy a mid-'90s Volvo or something built to last.

Oh, and stop trying to sell me artery-clogging fast food and redneck pickup trucks when I watch football. It seems like every commerical is either those or beer. :redhot: I don't need a giant, oversized truck to prove toughness or my manhood.

ha ha... Marc... just put on a turtleneck and move to italy and get it over with!

I was actually waiting for your post on the Camaro... yeah - how does it handle? I'll definitly check it out. I really like the body.
Who knows... maybe I'll just get a Viper that year!

I agree about $60K on a Ford... I never got into the Stangs... my buddy had a GT and its ok.. I guess

I don't care what you do to them, they're still just Chevys and Fords.

Well the reason you're paying $60k, is for 650bhp, and one hell of a fun ride! To me that concept camaro looks nothing like they wanted it to. I'd rather have the Cuda... The new mustangs have received top ratings as far as handling goes, they blow the 99-04 mustangs out of the water in that department. A little lacking in the speed/hp dept. but that's nothing a few mods won't fix. That is for the base GT model. I had an '88 GT 5.0, and talk about a fun ride, with saleen suspension ofcourse !

However I don't think I'm going to get rid of my Cherokee Sport anytime soon! Jeep is the way to go! (speed-bump? what speed-bump?!?) I had to fricken crawl over those things in my mustang, and it would still drag the exhaust on some ...

Ample - I like the "old" 88's. Wow, did I just say old?
