Boy he's having a great season. His OBP is .428. Very impressive. He should drive in between 110 or 120 runs. He's lead the AL in batting with a .352 average. His lifetime batting average is .309 right now. He just a good player who is a very consistent hitter. I consider him the "Quiet Man". He doesn't get a lot of attention. But he should in my humble opinion.

And yes if he keeps his stats in this range for the rest of the season he will stand a good chance of winning the AL MVP. Of course you can't forget about A-Rod who leads the AL in homeruns and RBI's.

Detroit is very fortunate to have Ordonez. With him on the team they have a good chance of returning the the World Series.

I've been meaning to get my 2 cents in Bama...

I agree this guy is awesome.... and to think back in 2003 how close the Redsox were to getting him AND ARod in the Nomar and Manny trade...

I don't think it will happen but could win a triple crown with a little luck someday.

I doubt if he will get a triple crown, but he is a fine player. Not only can he hit, his defense is pretty good. He can also run a little bit.
I'd be happy to have him on my team.

Yeah, thats kind of what I meant with "luck" (ARod gets hurt one season, ect.) If he could win the HR title... then I think he'd have a shot.

Boy we haven't had a Triple Crown winnerr since 1967. 40 years! A-Rod could do it. I don't think Ordonez will ever hit enough homeruns in a single season to win that award. He can hit for average, but his power is not as good as A-Rod's or say Ryan Howard.
