Which team got the best for their money?
A. Rangers - Alex Rodriguez - 10 years, 252 million = 25.2 million per season
B. Red Sox - Manny Ramirez - 8 years, 160 million = 20 million per season
C. Yankees - Mike Mussina - 6 years, 88.5 million = 14.75 million per season
D. Rockies - Mike Hampton - 8 years, 121 million = 15.125 million per season.
Please post your opinions! :) I will be posting mine later.

Come on, what team do you think gets the most bang for their buck? I expected this to be a pretty hot topic! :D

I think they all got ripped off :)
Actually Hampton got way too much so he isn't it, Mussina won't be that much of an impact on a staff with enough aces already, so I'd go with Manny and not Rodriguez because I still say that no player is worth that much, not even A Rod.

Mussina, no doubt. He's one of my favorites, and still will be even as a Yankee. He's a fantastic pitcher and could win 25 with some run support.

Almost any good pitcher could win 25 with run support. I don't think he is that good. They already have Hernandez, Petitte, and Clemens.

I agree with Danny, I believe my Yankees got the best value. But, I disagree with Wedge, Mussina is a good pitcher, and no, not any good pitcher could win 25 games with any type of run support, no matter what it is! You see how many pitchers win 25 runs each season? Point made. :)

Well he made it seem like it was easy. If Randy or Maddux got some awesome run support they could get 25 wins. That is all I was trying to say.

But, you stated he is "not that good". Thats what I disagreed with. You have to be good to get 25 wins. Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, and Mike Mussina are all good pitchers.

Sure Mussina is good it is just that I haven't seen him doing so well in the past couple years.
As good of players as they are, I don't see how anyone can say A-Rod and Ramirez are "good for the price". $252 million? Come on!
I would say either Hampton or Mussina.

Good point. I guess I'd go with Mussina now that I realize what a ridiculous price tag Rodriguez and Ramirez have.
