What did you think of Johnny Cueto's performance?

The guy was dominant but the thing is his velocity was topping out at 91, 92 (I thought it was supposed to be 95?). The Reds are going to be very good, the D'Backs and the Reds are going to be the two top teams in the NL pretty soon, and both are going to be fun to watch with high-powered offenses and strike-out pitching. Cueto was impressive but he had different stuff than I expected, he reminded me of a better Jered Weaver, using a bunch of pitches to get guys out. For some reason I though he was a fire-baller.

Oh and cheers to Obama, hes catching up in PA, although that doesn't matter since he's all but clinched more pleged delegates in the first place.

Actually, the broadcast I watched showed his fastball at 96. Everything I read said he was throwing mid-to-high 90s.
Check out this link:
"Cueto had no such problems, and it was evident after he struck out the first batter of the game - Chris Young, on a low, 96 mph fastball - that the Diamondbacks might be in for a long afternoon."
"How's this for stuff? A fastball at 96 mph, a slider between 88-90 mph and a change-up in the upper-80s.
'That's Jake Peavy-like - he's got that type of stuff,' Hudson said. 'If he holds out (stays healthy), and I hope he does, he'll have a great career.'"

I think you got bad info somewhere.

Good! Hillary needs to dominate in PA to even have a chance. Hopefully he closes more ground.
Check out the political arena. We have some fun debates in there and more voices are always welcome

I was watching a feed of the Diamondbacks broadcast and if you didn't already know, the D'Backs have the WORST announcers in the MLB bar-none, I thought they were wrong because I knew I read/heard that he was a mid 90s guy. I actually was a Reds fan until the Diamondbacks came along, my parents are both Reds fans but when the D'Backs moved to the valley I had to switch it up.

Welcome aboard Anthony.
For what it is worth ESPN said he was throwing 91 to 95. I suspect he will throw more consistently in the mid 90s as the weather gets warmer and he is better able to stay loose and warm.

I wasn't aware that their broadcast team was so bad. I think Thom Brenaman use to do the play-by-play until he joined his father here in Cincy right?
I like the D-Backs. The O-Dog is a sweet player, fun to watch. Eric Byrnes is another one of my favorite (non-Reds). Plus, how can anyone not like Webb?
They definately have some good pitching, though the closer situation would worry me a bit.
Let's hope we see the Reds and the D-Backs in the NLCS

Yeah we have Mark Grace doing color now, he was a solid player but as far as announcing goes it can't get much worse.
I am pulling for the Reds to win the Central, I am anti-Cubs, Brewers, and Cardinals.

You obviously have not listened to the White Sox announce team on WGN. They are the epitome of unprofessionalism when it comes to announcing.

Speaking of awful announcing - check this out:
"He is not a clutch player."
- Two seconds later, walk-off HR.

The White Sox are almost as bad, but actually I think the D'Backs announcers take the cake. Hawk is more "unprofessional" though the Good Guys Bad Guys deal is one of the most ludacris in sports announcing.
I'm anti those teams because my best friends are fans of those 3 teams =). Nothing personal, we just hate each others teams because we talk way to much crap.

The Associated Press of the All American first team in College Baseball was announced today and Utah Center Andrew Bogut (Bo-Got) with 61st place votes. Bogot, who recieved very little attention during the presentation (lmao)
Joining him on the team, Wayne Summers Hegggin Warrick

Friggin announcers. He hasn't thrown an interception in over 10 games.
He's got a perfect game going here in the 7th.
He hasn't allowed a goal in over two weeks.
Just turn the channel at that point because you know what's going to happen next.

I also really like the part when he looks over at the producer and whispers, "I'm so sorry..."

The thing that was stupid about Brantley saying, "he's just not clutch," is the fact that Edwin Encarnacion has been the Reds best clutch hitter over the last two seasons. Last year, he hit .360 with runners in scoring position.
The walk-off HR at the time is what I call "poetic justice."

Very good. Crazy Brit.
Another good one is Bert Blylevin. He was doing a Yankees/Twins game and dropped the F-Bomb twice!
He thought it was a pre recording for the game, but they will live.
He says, "I f-ed up, we gotta do this whole f-in' thing over again!'
Then the other guy says, "But we're live."
It's priceless. I tried to find the video, but it was removed from YouTube.
