When asked if he was inheriting a country beginning a slump, President-Elect Bush declined to answer.

If you follow stocks, it's no secret they are way down as of late (http://www.msnbc.com/news/158521.asp) - and not only stocks, but American's economy as a whole.

Okay, sure, we Americans thought. Blame it on the (finally ended) presidential debate, or something else. But you have to wonder, is America in decline?

I don't blame him - he made a wish decision, for two reasons.

1) - Clinton was right there next to him - answer "Yes" would be an insult to him. Not polite at all.
2) - If the President SAYS there's a recession, there can be one from that alone - he's the President - what he says is a big deal.

I think he made the right choice in declining to answer.

No, I don't think we are in a decline. I myself make more money every month! :D lol

I don't think so. But the average American is spenidng less.
