Tiger starts off in second place after the first day. Not bad but I don't think he had his A game. If he manages to get this, it will be his third in a row.

I think if he would be able to win this, it would be good because it would get him "back on track", so to speak. Many predicted him in the PGA, but he didn't deliver.

....my favorite quote of the week -- "Tiger's not playing well this season -- he's only won $4.5 million on the Tour this year." :D

...if Tiger were to break out of that winning slump this afternoon, he'd be the first play to win three consecutive tournaments at Firestone Golf & Country Club.

WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...I come home from my round of golf just in time to see Woods and Furyk finish up their round on the 72nd hole.

..but no.... instead, I "had" to watch another 2 hours and seven holes -- the BEST 7 holes of golf I've watched since Tiger's last PGA Championship victory.... I mean..... argh!! -- you had to see it.... it was just so suspensful and amazing..... when it goes on the sports highlite show, it's just not the same.... I'm sooo glad I was able to see it live... amazing.

Argh -- I can't get over how amazing that was!!! -- the longest "overtime" in golf this season!!....

Glad Tiger won... was getting sick of him losing. :) His first win of the summer.

...funny side note on this tourney that I just hear this morning.

On Saturday, Phil Mickelson drove a ball into the rough... he consulted with the rules official to see if he could pick up his ball to ensure that it was his, which is OK... however, he failed to tell his playing partner, Kirk Triplett. As a result, Mickelson had to take a one-stroke penalty after the day was done.

However, on Sunday, Triplett arrived for his tee-off time 15 minutes early to pull out of the tournament, because he had done exactly the same thing on Friday, but failed to realize it until the situation on Saturday, which meant he had signed an incorrect scorecard.

Also, yesterday officialy ended Tiger Woods' first five years on the tour -- yesterday was his 4th year, 364th day on Tour.... he is 25 and had 29 PGA Tour Victories, tieing Jack Nicklaus' record for "wins of any player from age 20-29".... that's amazing!!.... the 29 victories do not include 4 victories that did not come on the PGA Tour. 14 of his 29 victories came by 1 stroke or in a playoff. Tiger has only missed one cut in his entire professional career, and yesterday he became the only player to win two different tournaments in three consecutive years, in the same year.
