Kentucky had one of their stars injured, looks like Duke does, too (http://cbs.sportsline.com/u/ce/multi/0,1329,4243878_55,00.html):
Williams to miss 4-6 weeks after breaking hand in pickup game
Duke received a scare Wednesday when its All-American point guard Jason Williams broke his left (non-shooting) hand during a campus pickup game.
Duke expects Jason Williams to recover in time for the first practice Oct. 13.(AP)
The injury is expected to sideline Williams for 4 to 6 weeks, according to Duke spokesperson Jon Jackson, but he is expected to return for the start of practice Oct. 13.
"The good news is he's responded favorably in the last 24 hours," Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "We're very optimistic about a quick recovery."
Williams broke the third metacarpal in his left hand when he banged teammate Dahntay Jones' elbow going up for a rebound. The Blue Devils were playing in an informal game at the Wilson Recreation Center on campus. Williams was treated at the Duke Sports Medicine Center and will be fitted for a cast soon, according to Jackson.
Sure, he'll be back in 4-6 weeks, but you've got to wonder if this will be fully healed in time for b-ball season.
