That sucks for me... grrrrr...... maybe my brother knows something about basketball (shows how much I talk to him, eh!?), and he'll do the draft for me... otherwise, I guess I'll hafta pre-rank the players.

This will be A LOT of fun!!!!... I'm in a head-to-head Y! fantasy hockey league, and it's a blast -- much better than the fantasy point or roto league system!!!

Obviously, I'm going to join... actually, I'm already in with my team name, as always, the "Winnipeg Jets."

Thanks, trying to signup ASAP. A couple of questions:

Am I supposed to be already assigned to our league? I can't seem to find where you specify what league you want to be apart of. It says "League to be assigned".

Can I be a part of more than one Y! b-ball league on one account? I also want to be in one at school.

1. On the first sign-up page (http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/reg), click "Private League" and the following page will have you type in the league # and password.

Marc - just follow the instructions Lee posted and you should be all set. It looks like you probably joined a "Public League".

You can join up to 4 leagues.

Two more questions:

1. I entered the password and it says it is incorrect and whatnot, I suspect this is a temporary Y! glitch? Will try again tomorrow.

2. How can I "remove" myself from the wrong public league I attempted to join?

Marc, go here (http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba).

On the left side, there should be a table, which says "Full Season" at the top. Next to where it says "Full Season", there should be a small gray button in the right corner that reads "Edit". Click on that. Now you should see a table. In that table, the public leage you joined should be listed. Just simply click "Delete Team" and you should be all set.

Sean, if we don't get any more SC members, get some of your friends to sign-up.... as a last resort, switch the league from a "private" to a "public" league. I did both, and got 3 extra teams out of it for the SCMB Fantasy Hockey League.... not only do you fill up extra spots in the league, but it also promotes the SCMB, if you post the URL on the league-local Y! forum.

What in the heck is going on here? It won't let me join! I've tried numerous times in the last few days! I went to the right place, got the league ID plus password entered, entered my team name and check yes/no to some options, then I get a FLOOD of errors on the resulting page:
The password is incorrect.
The league has already drafted. You can not join a league postdraft.
League is full.
There was a problem accessing data. Please try again.
What am I supposed to make of that? Gives me like four different errors, all mean different things. What's up with this? :redhot:

On another note, do not make this a public league, keep it how it is. And thank you for moving this back a week, I needed the time. I will definitely recruit some more managers in the next week, don't worry.

1. Turn on your computer and log-on to the Internet
2. Make sure that CAPS-lock isn't turned on, on your keyboard
3. Goto this page (http://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/reg?page=registerteam) in IE.
4. Click the "Join Private League" radio button and click "Continue."
5. Type 11949 in the first box... bball in the second one and then click "Continue."
6. Ensure that your team name has no more than 20 characters, including spaces, and choose one choice for the other options, then hit "Continue."
7. As long as you follow each and every one of the above instructions properly, the next screen will review the info you've told it, then all you have to do is click "Register My Team!"


....worked for me and the three other people in the SCMB Basketball League! :nod:

Now, the real work begins, by fine-tuing the rosters and getting ready for our first-week match-ups.

Well, I wish we could rename our teams 'cuz although I like the "Winnipeg Jets," you just might as well call me "Team Canada!," and Team Canada is doing great!

Vince Carter, Antonio Davis, and Dell Curry -- all from the Raptors
Canadians Todd McCullough (from Manitoba!) and Steve Nash are on my roster, too.

...Team Canada lost 5-2 last week... not bad... especially since I'm not a real deep basketball fan... unlike some other board administrators who wnet 1-6 last week! :lol:

I'm terrible in this league, but I spent some time this morning in editing my roster for the entire next week so I have players at all starting positions every day. Before, I just had my best players starting. Why I didn't do this before, it's beyond me. Anyway, here I come!

How ironic, in m other Y! b-ball league for school, I am blowing away everoyne in first place.
