Ok here's the scenario: Miami, Oklahoma/Nebraska, Maryland and UCLA all have a chance to go undefeated. UCLA and Oklahoma/Nebraska have the schedule strength to go to Pasadena. I believe that Maryland will win out and go to the Orange Bowl v. Miami. The Terp fans finally have a chance to go to a major BCS game. What do you think?

Welcome to SCMB, cwiden. :wavey: Glad to have you.

I think you are right, though. The Terps do have a good chance to go undefeated, especially if they get past FSU this weekend.

I'm interested to see if Maryland will defeat Florida St this weekend. I thik they will. I predict Maryland winning 35-30. GO TERRAPINS:P

I do have one question, though. What exactly is a Terrapin?

Welcome, cwiden.

I don't really follow the ACC, but besides a few teams, isn't the division pretty weak? What kind of strength of schedule does Maryland have? As was with the case before with Fresno St. before they lost, even if they went undefeated, they wouldn't be in the BCS - or at least have a shot at winning.

Actually Marc, if I remember correctly, Maryland is currently 8th in the BCS.

As far as the BCS goes with Maryland, if they are ACC champs, they will go to the Orange Bowl. Especially if they are undefeated. I would like to say Pasadena but that Big 12 and Pac-10 Conference have great teams that could be #1 or #2 even with one loss. Not the case with Big East or ACC conferences.
