I think this is really interesting and it obviously stems from the ongoing war and these players fear their safety overseas. I'm not sure if I agree or disagree with this, but it truly shows this has hit everyone and continues to. I do think, however, that they shouldn't let the attacks severly limit their job, which traveling is a big part of.

NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA - none of those require players to go overseas to participate, so this is a whole new realm. Thoughts?

I think I agree with the American Fed Cup Team. Granted, tennis isn't the high profile sport that the NBA is, but I think Americans going abroad to represent their country at this time is risky. It's a small chance, but these terrorists are fighting America, and representing America abroad makes the Fed Cup a target. It's a tough decision, but one that had to be made.
