The Illini are a preseason top five team and are definitely title contenders. They have all the pieces together for a title run.

It's a good sign when people can pick out three or four players - as opposed to just one or two - and identify them as a team's keys to success.

That's what's happening heading into this season at Illinois.

The Illini came within a wrenching loss to Arizona of reaching the Final Four last year, and now they're setting their sights higher.

As long as they lose to Mizzou every year in the Braggin' Rights game, I have no problems with 'em. :D

Everyone's got'em finishing in the top 4 (some even think they'll be cutting down the nets in Atlanta). They're so athletic and good at both ends of the court. Williams & Cook make them a threat at the offensive end and their starting five (lead by Lucas Johnson) make them a good defensive team. Once thing that can't happen is for Cory Bradford's ppg avg 2 go down. Every years his ppg's gone down. Some are calling him one of the most overrated players in the Big 10 and even the nation. I wouldn't go so far as to say that but he needs to silence those people. Baring injury, they can win it all.
