Last season, many speculated that Todd Helton was going to hit .400 and (As i'm sure you all know) he didn't. The questions are: Do you think Helton can do it this season?
Do you think anyone can do it this season?
and, if not; who do you think will be the overall (AL and NL) average leader?
And remember that MLB has told umps to call strikes by the rule book this year, armpit high strikes are back! Maybe this will give an advantage to pitchers and stop anyone getting near .400. This will also advantage players like Paul O'neill who can foul off the high pitch, and Chuck Knoblauch who has a very squat stance.
I can't see anyone getting .400 and surely Helton or Nomar will be the batting champ.
Anyway... Your turn.

Good... Chuck Knoblauch needs some advantages, we have to give advantages to hanicapped players. LOL just kidding :D
I actually kinda like Chuck as a player and I think his throwing has been greatly exagerrated. But, nice job hitting Olberman's Mom! lol

Says something for the Yankees as a team doesn't it. Okay, anti-Yankees comments by me are hopefully stopping here. Let's see if I an keep that promise.

Well, I'm not sure how much these new strike zone rules will affect this, but obviously a lot from what you all are saying (shows how much I know about b-ball, eh!?)... but Delgado was in the hunt for the Triple Crown most of the season... most of you may not know this, because on a Jays telecast once, the announcers were talking about a Philadelphia newspaper article about possible Triple Crown winners and Delgado's name wasn't even mentioned ONCE!
But anyway, he came up short after a few VERY COLD weeks at the end of the season and didn't finish 1st in any of the Triple Crown categories, but his average was 4th best in the AL with .344

He plays for Canada so he's not well known in the US. Too bad too, him and Guerrero are both awesome.

Yeah, I know... Ummm... the Expos have another semi-good player... forget his name... well anyways, sure, Delgado plays in T.O., but this reporter must have been a pretty big airhead because at the time Delgado was 1st in HRs and near the top in RBIs and average, and his name still wasn't mentioned!?
So Wedge, do u think Delgado has a shot at hitting .400?
...also, congrats on winning the contest, Wedge! :)

No, I was stating something about myself, okay Ifroggy? And thanks about the contest thing. I don't think Delgado can do it though, maybe close though.

I don't think anyone will even get near .400 this year. The best hit% will probably be more like .350 or .360 top end
