Rick said something about writing a screenplay...I write fiction in my spare time. Finished a draft of a novel, now I'm back working on it, trying to make it better. I plan to start looking for agents later on in the spring, with the intent of eventually getting it published. I've got a lot of other ideas for books and movies that I want to work on someday, but of course there's no money in it...YET. Someday?? Anyone else out there write?

In my spare time I do a lot of writing. The screenplay I have begun working on is a science fiction thriller. After I finish with that I will probably write a fictional war novel. What is your novel about?
I'm not one. With school and Sports Central, I don't really have the time or desire to do something like that.

there seems to be a virus in my brain because my hands are unable to locate that file in my brain.
good luck to those of you who are authors though, I love reading quality material.

I'm not a writer but if I did write books they would probably be horror novels or sports books.
Unfortunately, I don't have the patience to do stuff like that. :)

The novel is a police procedural thriller that draws pretty heavily on my Army experiences -- so it has elements of both Thomas Harris and Tom Clancy! But I also hope to bring something new and original to it as well. It's about 350 pages right now, working on the second draft--tightening stuff, re-arranging, adding new scenes, dropping ones that don't work, etc. It's taken a long time because I have to do it in my spare time, and with a full time job, it's hard to find the energy sometimes!

I am too busy with school. It takes up about 45% of my day, 33% goes to sleep, and 15% goes to eating. The rest is for going online or friends.

...I used to enjoy writing short stories just for fun, but not anymore.
Wedge, u say you are a student in your profile? University or what?... 'cuz I'd say about 45% of your time is a lot for a high school student!!!

i'm in high school but I go to a private high school. I wake up at 6, get home at 4, do homework until 5, eat dinner, and go online or watch tv for the rest of the day.

How much of your time did you use working out how much of your time goes on different activities Wedge?
I was off school and work for a whole year so I started writing a book, more of a pass time than a serious effort but I still write it although it's coming slowly now i've got some sort of a life again. I think it's quite good. Sort of a mystery I guess you would have to call it.

It took about 20 seconds. It was a rough estimate.

I work a full schedule (10 hrs. a day) for an Armored Car company and write sports articles for e-sports.com in my spare time.
My Dream Job:
I would love to have a full time job writing sports articles for a newspaper or other sports websites.

Howard, are you aware you can write for Sports Central? Since you expressed interest in writing for additional web sites, we would love to hear from you! Read more on our Job Openings (http://www.sports-central.org/other/jobs) page.

I believe he meant being paid, or I would have asked him to write for my new project which will be launching pretty soon, eSportsSection. :)

Yes, i would love to have a full time job writing, but if I quit my other job, I would need to get paid for doing it :)
Hopefully, someday something will work out :)
I love writing sports articles, and I know I would do a great job writing them, but their are so many writers out there and no jobs :(
