WOW, I never thought in a million years I'd ever be able to talk high school ball with you guys, but it's happening (and right in my backyard).
The best high school baller just scored 100 points in Camden High School's 157-67? victory over Gloucester Township Tech. He had like 40some at halftime, and 72 after 3 quarters, before reaching 100 with 4 minutes left in the game.
Notes:
* The games are only 32 minutes long (8 minute quarters).
* Camden pressed all game.
* GTT was clearly overmatched, losing 40-8 after the first quarter.
* He was the 13th or so high school player ever to score 100 in a game, but the first in NJ.
* (More as I remember it...)
Does anybody have a problem with his coach leaving Wagner in? Seriously, after watching this guy for the past 4 years, I'm happy to see him get the attention. He's that darn good, and fun to watch at that.
Watch out for when he comes to the NBA! He's going to Memphis next year under John Calipari, his assistant coach dad Milt Wagner, and playing next to his best friend -- forward Arthur Barclay. I'm proud that someone this good is choosing college now-a-days.
