Don't know if anyone saw this tourney but I missed the last day and I wish I hadn't!

Tiger almost made a historic come back. The third day ended with Tiger at 9 under (tied for second with someone else I think) and Ernie Els first at 17 under. Nobody thought he could close the 8 stroke lead to claim the title but he almost did! Els finishing at 17 under and Tiger at 15 under! This about sums up the tension that Els must have felt on Sunday:

If there was any question about the pressure Els felt, it was answered when he putted out for par on No. 9 and saw a backup on the 10th tee. Els elected to sit on his bag just off the ninth green rather than wait with Woods on the tee box.

``It was getting tight,'' Els said. ``I don't know what I would have said to him. I don't know if I would have punched him or kicked him in the knees. We were very competitive. He's a good friend of mine, but I can say hello to him at some other time.''

I only wish I could have seen it!

I saw parts of it. Tiger played pretty good in coming back from 8 strokes down. Not much else to add, waiting for the most significant tourneys people care about to arrive. :)

Ya, I have a hard time getting into the PGA season until the Masters... after that, I try to watch an hour or two every Sunday or every-other Sunday tourney until October or so when I lose interest again.
