There's no way in the world that I would ever accept what Jason Kidd did to his wife Joumana during an argument last week when Kidd punched her in the mouth. Never would I do that to my wife when I get married. But, as they say, the past is the past, and now it's time to reflect ...

Kidd decided that it was best for him to take some time off from basketball to make things better with his wife. Hopefully things are better with them now. Still, the fans are now booing him now. What does everybody think about the way that Kidd and the Phoenix Suns organization handled the situation? And how long will it take the fans to forgive the guy for what he did in his personal life?

It's a shame, a darn shame Kidd did this - yet another rich athlete strengthening the "jerk" attitude of professional sports. I have no sympathy for him, he is a grown man and there is no excuse for what he did to his wife.

The fans should and will boo him for quite some time. I don't ever think he will be "forgotten", but I believe people will eventually get over it and admire his play.

Its unexcusable, but we all make mistakes and one of us could be in the same boat one day, regardless of what we say now. Different things happen during a fight or any event where anger is involved.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending him at all, but we're all human and we shouldn't lose sight of that either.

Well IMHO the guy obviously made a split second decision (which was a bad one) and fans should boo him for what he did... BUT atleast he tried to make a mend with his wife and took some time off basketball (very hard to do).
I think fans should forgive him for that.
