soo many icons!

I look at the different boards here and I see next to subjects icons that I have no clue what they mean. At the bottom of my screen it only explains 4 icons, and I see many more than that next to certain subjects. I think it is too many, or at least have it readily available so I can see what it means without having to leave the current screen.

Am I making sense?

If you hold your mouse over those icons, it will tell you what it is. Basically, those are just emotion icons... if you're happy, you put a smiley face, if you're laughing and not serious, use the big grin, etc. - this is optional, use it if you want. This answer your question?

more or less... It is decent that it tells you what it is if you put your mouse over it. I wasn't talking about the ones in the message, but the ones next to the subject heading out in the main forum (so to speak) of each category. (tennis, Football, etc)

Are you talking about the lightbulb ones? Those are quite simple:

If the bulb is lit up, it means there is a new post on that board since your last visit. If it isn't lit up, it means there are no new posts since your last visit. That what you're looking for?
