Not much happening in Major League Baseball lately, but the league FINALLY did something it should have done a long time ago.

They re-vamped their web site, MLB.com (http://majorleaguebaseball.com).

If anything, it looks much better, and I can't wait to be using it progressively more as the season nears closer!

What is everyone elses' thoughts on the new MajorLeagueBaseball.com web site?

Did you know that the reason MLB used to only using MajorLeagueBaseball.com was because mlb.com was owned by a law firm? Well, obviously baseball bought it from them.

As for the site, it's alright. I've never been much of a fan of websites run by professional sports leagues.

You are right. The firm that owned it had 3 lawyers. M, L, and B. The B left the firm, so they were able to sell the domain.

I remember going to MLB.com and seeing the message "If you are looking for the official site of Major League Baseball, please go to MajorLeagueBaseball.com." - ha. Surprised a multi-billion dollar sports organization wouldn't buy it before now.

As for the site itself - yuck. It's too botchy... I don't like the bulk of how things are arranged on the main page.

Personally, I think the site looks much better. It looks more professional.

I sort of agree with you there Marc. The main page does seem a little strange. But the rest of the site looks very nice.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it, Marc. It's too cluttered. Other than that, I kinda' like it, and i'm looking forward to seeing how things go with it once the season gets underway. I checked out the new team sites, too. I guess parity in the league beings with the websites.
