Who is your favorite golfer?

Now, I plan for this thread to go on forever... so everyone post their favorite golfer. :)

Mine is - ta da - Tiger Woods.

boy, Patrick!.. that was an extreme, out-of-the-blue pick!
 ;)

BESIDES the obvious golfers (Tiger Woods and home-country favorite Mike Weir from Canada), my favorite golfer has got to be either David Duval or Phil Mickelson.... they just seem like cool guys... David, especially!

I'm more of a casual golf follower, and surprise, suprise, my pick is Tiger.

I like many different golfers for a whole heap of different reasons.

Sergio Garcia - he brings youth and energy to the game.

Tiger Woods - he brings talent and amazement to the game.

Jack Nicklaus - he helps make the game classic.

and many others, all around I support most of the tour players.

PS. Marc why did you leave out the SPGA in the forum name?

The names of the tours shouldn't be on the discussion probably, because their are so many different tours. We'll change it to something else soon. :)

I modified it now.

Kind of off-topic, but is there a SLPGA? :D

not that I know of..I dont think the ladies attract enough media attention for it to be viable. (I don't even know if the number senior ladies with excellent golf skills could make up a SLPGA).

My favorite pre-Tiger player is Phil Mickleson. He's got one of the purest swings in the game. Great short game too.

Sure I like Tiger Woods but I also like Scott Hoch because his dad grew up and played in my hometown (Truro, Nova Scotia).

My favorite golfer is Justin Leonard, since his hometown is close to where I live, in Dallas.

Favorite golfer . . . . would definitely have to be David Duval. I'm sooo happy that he won the British Open; he played well and deserves a major win.

But, that Jesper Parnevick DOES wear pretty sweet pants.:D

Parnevick is kinda... uh.... is "quircky" the right word???.. however, at least it makes every day interesting to watch.. come Sunday, you know Tiger is going to wear the same old red shirt and black pants... except Sunday, two weeks ago... he was wwaaayyyy out of the hunt and did not wear red! :) ...other than that........... so anyway, Parnevick makes the game intesting to watch... not only the pants, but the hat, too!!!... plus, he's a very decent golfer.

Tiger Woods. I like to call him the MJ of golf. He might even be bigger than MJ. You wouldn't believe how many more people play golf now than before Tiger started to play.
