I don't pay to play for prizes in any fantasy sports (my yearly "salary" doesn't allow for it :D )..... so I can't really help you on that part.
Join the SCML Fantasy Football League 2003!!! We'd be excited to have you
I play at Yahoo! But not for prizes, its just for the fun.
So if the league is already full, am I left out in the cold? I have too much time on my hands and writing ridiculous columns only takes up so much of it.
I feel like I'm back in grade school kickball all over again.
I'm not sure, but I think you can still join ... we're pretty full, though. Noon, do I know you? Wasn't sure what you referring to about the columns. :)
I think I missed the opportunity, it keeps telling me the league is full. I should have tried to join two weeks ago when I first thought about it.
And Noon is short for Noonan. I write a column now and then for SC.
Ah, shoot, sorry you missed out. You can try contacting the league commish, SC-Lee (Lee Manchur) and see if he can do anything about it. Glad to see you here, Ryan. :)

Sorry to hear that you may have missed out on a league. If you don't get sorted out you are always welcome on Wall Street Sports.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am Greg Kellogg and run Komments ( http://www.komments.com ), a site dedicated to Fantasy Football.
Marc and I have been sharing articles for two or three years now. If you ever have any Fantasy Football related questions, just drop me an email.
As to who has the best prizes - that is easy. This year was the first for the World Championship of Fantasy Football ( http://www.wcoff.com ). They held their draft in Las Vegas (FanEx was there as a guest league holding our draft the night before).
It was a great time, but back to the prizes. The WCOFF was limited to 46 12-team leagues with the overall winner taking home over $200,000 in total prizes. Approximately $535,000 will be awarded. That is better than a 600-1 odds to walk away with $200K.
Of course, entry was not cheap. $1250 per team (many folks partnered up to share costs) and $350 for the Friday night pre-draft festivities.
The folks that put this on did it right - they reserved the ESPN Sportszone in the NY-NY Casino for the night and provided free food and bar. They brought in Beckey Jensen (Chicks on Football) and recently inducted Hall-of-Famer Dan Hampton. Dan autographed just about anything folks asked him to.
But the best part of something like this is a chance to meet and spend time with all the folks in the industry. Some very big names made it a point of being there. Besides the boys of FanEx, Ryan Houston of Fantasy Asylum, William Del Pilar of KFFL, Bob Harris of TFL Report, Mike Nazarek of Fantasy Mastermind, Rob Pythian of FanBall, Bob Radl of Sandlot Shrink and many, many more.
I took some pictures that you are welcome to view.

They are taking advanced reservation for next year's wing-ding. If you are interested, drop me a line and I will tell you how to preregister. There is a $300 refundable fee for this though.
