(Hopefully I wasn't too confusing in writing this post.)

I was just watching a nice feature on Tim Legler, former 3-point contest winner who played with 6 or so teams over his career. I enjoyed watching the guy play when I got to see him, and it got me wondering ...

Who is your favorite player in the NBA who doesn't get that "superstar" treatment from the media and fans from around the league (those other than fellow fans of your favorite team).

Maybe it's the guy's personality on and off the court that you like. Maybe you like him because of all the "little" things he does to help his team to win. Maybe you like him for whatever reason, but whatever the case ....

List any player, past or current ... who's your favorite "non-superstar"?

Currently, one of my favorite players that nobody knows is Jumaine Jones, on the 76ers. The guy was drafted late in the 1st round a few years ago, and has never really gotten that big of a chance to shine yet. Recently, though, with all the injuries the team has suffered, he's gotten some PT and is beginning to show that he deserves regular minutes.

Steve Nash (DAL) and Todd Mchollugh (sp?) (PHI).

...just 'cuz they're both Canadian and Todd is from my home province of Manitoba.

Jalen Rose of the Pacers. He's not a "superstar" by any means, but he was a key player on last years E.C. championship team. He has also set many of his career highs this year, despite a struggling team.

The Heat's Dan Majerle... I have always liked him, he plays hard and is never in trouble with the law like many athletes are today.

A great example of what I'm talking about .....

Lee, you aren't the only person who likes the guy. Everybody who pays attention to the 76ers LOVES the guy. I would have thrown his name down if I was going to write down more than one guy. His personality has everybody jumping on their feet when he gets into the game. (Just like they do with Pepe Sanchez, Philly's own rookie from Temple.)

Get ready ... now that both Geiger and Ratliff are injured, BigMac will get some playing time. People around the league will get a chance to see this guy play.

This guy who used to play for the Nets but I forgot his name. It was defiantely a cool name. He averaged about 1 point per game.
