Results from NBA.com ...

"Seattle's Desmond Mason outdueled Baron Davis and DeShawn Stevenson to win the NBA.com Slam Dunk presented by Real in the finale of All-Star Saturday."

I don't think I've ever seen a less exciting slam dunk contest (not that I didn't expect it coming in, but still). Little will be remembered from this contest, other than maybe a dunk or two (which were all really weak). Enough said. Congrats to Desmond Mason, especially while having to deal with loss of friends in the OSU plane crash recently.

Another yawn as I begin to fall asleep ... where's VC when you need him?

Simply, it was pathetic.

I have to agree with the announcers on TNT who said, "These are dunks I would see in a real game. Today, it's just you, the ball, and the rim.... be creative!"

There was no creativity.

Why didn't that guy do the tear-away jersey thing?

I take that back... there was some creativity... the summersault in the air... the "blind-man's bluff" (they should've let him do it again) -- boy!, that would've been something if he would've made it. Also where that guy jumped over his teammate, while his teammate was videotaping it (sorry I don't remember anyone's name!).

I guess we were just spoiled last year.

What was the name of that dunk that Bryon Russell and Stevenson did where Russell passed it off the backboard and all called? All in all, it was an ok dunk, but the name was pretty cool.

I know what your talking about....I know it....c'mon memory....

Sorry. I thought I'd remember. My memory fails again. Must have been from all the *excitement* of the Slam Dunk contest....

I missed the festivities yesterday... I guess I didn't miss much. It's also not as interesting because no legit superstars were participating. Can you imagine if like Kobe, VC, Francis, etc. were participating?

Yeah!?... why wasn't Francis there!?... he was in the "rookie challenge" game!
